Construction Management

On a Friday at noon, the construction site ran out of cement. The site manager swiftly ordered an urgent delivery at a higher cost because there was no centralised system to monitor usage and issue timely purchase orders. Meanwhile, another site managed by the same contractor, located 10 km away, stored and did not use 380 bags of cement.

The site losses nobody notices, brought into the open.

Construction projects often lose time and money for reasons that aren’t obvious. Delayed material requests, mismatched stock counts, and unverified labour attendance all add up. Buildo, QwickSoft’s construction management platform, brings material tracking, procurement, and labour management into one system, so sites stay supplied and accountable without extra manual work.

What manual site management actually costs

Construction teams using paper forms and informal tracking face the same issues again and again. Material use isn’t checked against the Bill of Quantities, so overruns are found only after the budget is blown. Poor tracking of material issues and returns means shrinkage and theft can go unnoticed for weeks. Labour attendance is hard to verify on remote sites, and fake check-ins raise costs. All these are visibility problems, and a connected platform solves them.

We have Buildo for builders

Buildo rolls up its sleeves and brings all your construction chaos under one roof, materials, procurement, and crews included. No more juggling spreadsheets or chasing paper trails, just smooth sailing and stocked-up sites.

What Buildo platform manages

  • BOQ and material requisitions. Project sites are linked to approved Bill of Quantities lines. Material requests, issues, and returns are tracked against these, so any differences are visible right away instead of at the end of the project.
  • Double-entry stock engine. The system uses a double-entry ledger to track stock balances, unit conversions, and batches. This gives managers a clear, auditable record of what moved, when, and where.
  • Tamper-resistant field attendance. The Qwick Construction app requires a live photo and GPS location at check-in, so photos can’t be faked. This gives supervisors and HR real, verified attendance records instead of relying on trust.
  • GST-compliant invoicing. Proforma and final invoices include the correct CGST, SGST, and IGST splits, bringing the same financial discipline to construction billing and procurement as in other QwickSoft platforms.

How it works

You set up a project site with its approved BOQ. As work goes on, material requests are made, issued from central stores, and logged daily to keep records up to date. Field workers check in using the app, with photo and GPS proof of presence. Supervisors track usage against BOQ limits and request more material as needed, with the system flagging any issues before they become budget problems.

Intelligence Layer

Supply chain and demand forecasting is at the heart of this platform. The system uses past purchasing trends, weather, supply availability, and calendar events to recommend what to buy before you need it. Two seasons of data help spot seasonal patterns, and if you import your history at setup, you get useful results from the first quarter.

Predictive stock care is being developed. An AI layer spots early signs of unusual material use or drops in performance. It sends purchase orders to vendors before a shortage happens, closing the gap between noticing a problem and getting more supplies.

Automated procurement workflows are also being developed. These will trigger purchases directly from stock level signals, cutting out manual steps between needing something and raising a purchase order.

Compliance monitoring with QwickSoft’s Edge Vision is available for construction sites. It covers intrusion detection and perimeter monitoring, along with the material tracking already in the platform.

Who it is for

Buildo is for general contractors running multiple projects, project managers who need to control budgets against approved BOQs, and infrastructure providers who want verified labour attendance and material tracking without extra admin work for their teams.

Material shortages and unverified labour costs usually happen because there’s no real-time site visibility. Talk to QwickSoft about your current tracking process, and we’ll show you where a connected BOQ and procurement system can make the biggest difference.
